Voting Question: What’s the best for foreign exchange?

Dec 31, 2007 @ 04:51 am by

I’m planning on being a foreign exchange student next year (junior year of high school) but I have no clue where I want to go.
I believe I’ll be good for it, I’m motivated, sociable, I never get homesick, and the prospect of learning a new language doesn’t bother me. So none of that needs to be factored.
Honestly, I’m trying to chose now by social means. As in, I don’t want to be bored! Where can I have fun!?

I’ve “narrowed” my list to:
England
Denmark
Netherlands
Switzerland
Japan
India
France
or Italy

Voting Question: People to People Student Ambassador’s Program…?

Dec 31, 2007 @ 03:13 am by

I’m Breana, 12, and I got a letter from the People 2 People student ambassadors program saying I’m going to England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland in the Summer of 2008. I have a few questions:

How many sponsors can I have & is there a limit to their pay?

Do I have to bring my own money for a money exchange?

Are we allowed to bring personal items? (iPod,cellphone, etc.)

What exactly IS a student ambassador?

Am I allowed to create ay personal relationships in 1 of the country’s? ;-)
You only have to answer whatever questions you want. THANK YOU!!!

Open Question: I just moved to DC…what should I do for New Year’s Eve? I need to meet some cool people!?

Dec 30, 2007 @ 11:26 pm by

Hey! I am a 21 year old guy who just moved to the Washington, DC area. I am a student…but I go to school out of state. So, long story short…I don’t know anyone in this area. Since I am a guy who likes to party and have fun…does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do on New Year’s eve…as in about 24 hours :)
Better yet, if anyone wants to hang out…give me your email in an answer and we can take it from there (exchange pics and numbers and all that.

I am just looking for some cool people and something fun to do on New Year’s eve!!!

Thanks!

Kyle

Resolved Question: Becomeing a jewish foreign exchange student in junior year.?

Dec 30, 2007 @ 11:01 pm by

Hi I’m currently a student in my sophomore year at a high school.
Now I’ve seen a few listings on information on becoming an exchange student but i have one extra problem– I would need to go to a Jewish school. I have thought about this and I really want to do it but one problem i face is where. I would need to go to a Jewish high school which narrows it down a lot. I also would like to do this for one semester preferably the fall (northern hemisphere) so from about late august early September till January. The places that I have become most interested in are Australia and South Africa.

thanks for all your input
