We have a girl from Seoul coming to stay with us for a year. Does anybody have some advice or suggestions.
I know very little about the Korean culture and am looking for web links or suggestions of good books so I can learn.

I’m planning on being a foreign exchange student next year (junior year of high school) but I have no clue where I want to go.
I believe I’ll be good for it, I’m motivated, sociable, I never get homesick, and the prospect of learning a new language doesn’t bother me. So none of that needs to be factored.
Honestly, I’m trying to chose now by social means. As in, I don’t want to be bored! Where can I have fun!?
I’ve “narrowed” my list to:
England
Denmark
Netherlands
Switzerland
Japan
India
France
or Italy

I’m Breana, 12, and I got a letter from the People 2 People student ambassadors program saying I’m going to England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland in the Summer of 2008. I have a few questions:
How many sponsors can I have & is there a limit to their pay?
Do I have to bring my own money for a money exchange?
Are we allowed to bring personal items? (iPod,cellphone, etc.)
What exactly IS a student ambassador?
Am I allowed to create ay personal relationships in 1 of the country’s?
You only have to answer whatever questions you want. THANK YOU!!!

Hey! I am a 21 year old guy who just moved to the Washington, DC area. I am a student…but I go to school out of state. So, long story short…I don’t know anyone in this area. Since I am a guy who likes to party and have fun…does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do on New Year’s eve…as in about 24 hours
Better yet, if anyone wants to hang out…give me your email in an answer and we can take it from there (exchange pics and numbers and all that.
I am just looking for some cool people and something fun to do on New Year’s eve!!!
Thanks!
Kyle

Hi I’m currently a student in my sophomore year at a high school.
Now I’ve seen a few listings on information on becoming an exchange student but i have one extra problem– I would need to go to a Jewish school. I have thought about this and I really want to do it but one problem i face is where. I would need to go to a Jewish high school which narrows it down a lot. I also would like to do this for one semester preferably the fall (northern hemisphere) so from about late august early September till January. The places that I have become most interested in are Australia and South Africa.
thanks for all your input
