we have this exchange student staying with me and my dad is so nice to her like he puts on a really nice voice and acts like they are best buddies and then when it is just me and him he asks me why I am there in a nasty voice and says I am acting like a dork.He is acting normal again cause the exchange student is hanging around him but what should I do about it? you might think Im overreacting but I got really upset when he called me a dork.
The reason he called me a dork is cause Im reallyshy and I was kindof stooping…but him calling me a dork made be lack even moreconfidence.Im almost crying at the moment.I think he hates me.Im also scared of him cause he has moodswings.I told my mum but she cant do much abouut it cause she is at work all day.

Okay, here’s the story.
I’m a relatively reserved, shy kind of guy and school has just started. There is a girl that is extremely cute and I cannot figure her out. She’s going out with an exchange student who is not going to be here for more than a few more months. I am relatively good friends with her boyfriend and so I see the girl quite a bit. What doesn’t make any sense to me is that she will randomly shout my name and shoot over a smile and a wave (or some random pose and smile) during class. And that’s it. She doesn’t say anything other than my name. I don’t get it.
So, could some ladies, preferably, help me out with trying to figure out whats going on?
It sounds so wrong to just pick up where my friend left off. LOL. Anywho, I’m really trying to figure out if she is into me or just being weird (that wouldn’t be suprising).

I live in Texas and I want to become an exchange student in London, but I’mm a little confused. I want to know where do I sign up at, or if I even need to sign up? I want to know the circumstances of being an exchange student. What web site should i look at?
Please if you have any information about this, please answer.

I need some information about international exchange programs. I’ve checked out several sites and looked through the Yahoo answers as well, but I really need some specific details that aren’t readily available.
Are there any programs for American students traveling to other countries that run for three months during the school year? (For instance, January through March.) If yes, are only specific countries and/or organizations involved or are there a lot options?
Also, if the scenario I just described does exist, how far in advance would the student need to apply for the program? When would they find out if they’ve been accepted? Specifically, if they were to leave in January, where in the process would they be the summer before?
Thank you for any insight you can offer!

I’m asking this because I am an exchange student in France and my host family asked me what kind of church I went to in America and when I said a christian one, my host dad could not hide his disgust, and it was obvious that the rest of the family felt the same. This made me very uncomfortable and I don’t understand why they did this. Could some one explain?
