I’m asking this because I am an exchange student in France and my host family asked me what kind of church I went to in America and when I said a christian one, my host dad could not hide his disgust, and it was obvious that the rest of the family felt the same. This made me very uncomfortable and I don’t understand why they did this. Could some one explain?
If a foreign exchange student gets an honorary high school diploma from a high schol in the united states, can they use that to get into college?

hi i asked my friend if she’s going to prom and she said “yes, and we will go to homecoming dance too.” but i don’t know anything about it.(I’m a foreign exchange student) Do I have to wear a prom dress? or what? Do they do it at school or do they borrow another place?

yesterday at school during lunch, i was with my friend nicole and a few of her friends (i’m a transfer student so i dont really know anyone. . .)
anyway there’s this really hot exchange student named santiago who’s from spain, and he was chillin with us and mentioned somehting about don quixote (the story). somehow my friend and her friend, mirisa, related that to yankee doodle and started singing hte song together, and while mirisa was singing “stuck a feather in his hat” nicole started going “stuck a finger up his a–” and then froze and caught what she was saying! she completely improvised that without trying, it was hilarious.
is that funny or what?!? im totally gonna start singin it that way.
How long does it generally take to learn a language if you are in complete immersion?
I already speak french and english fluently and also some spanish.
I’m asking because I may have the opportunity to be an exchange student in germany.
