Open Question: Kay so im having a party?

Sep 30, 2008 @ 11:47 pm by

kay so im turning 16 on the 13 and well im having a partyish kind of thing. im not allowed to have parties anymore where my mom leaves the house to me because me and my friends were dumb asses and flashed a house where some church youth group was having a bbq and got the cops called on us, oh and we also dressed in random halloween costumes i have from over the years and played in someone sprinkler. lol. so im just going out for supper with two friends and then coming back home and having a couple more friends come over to just chill watch movies and that kind of stuff, yeah i know lame for a 16th bday. anyways…
kay i have a couple of questions

1) what should i do other than movies? like fun wacky stuff. im up for anything you got. lol

2) what are some good scary bloody gutty movies, and some funny ones lol

3) okay my friend has to bring her exchange student with her to the party (her parents make him go where ever she goes :|) and hes going to be the only guy, how do i make him feel less awkward/left out?

Open Question: Blue popsicle shirt, from Europe, have you seen it?

Sep 30, 2008 @ 11:08 pm by

There is this blue shirt, light blue, that has a popsicle on it, and it has been bitten. The word juice or juicy is on it. The shirt is most likely from Europe, because a foreign exchange student was wearing it. If you could help me find it, that would be amazing!!! =]

Open Question: Am I able to visit to USA when being in Canada on a student visa and from a Visa Waiver country?

Sep 30, 2008 @ 10:00 pm by

I’m an exchange student from Finland staying in Canada and am planning on travelling to USA. I know that Finland is a partner of the Visa Waiver Program and I should be able to enter US without applying for a Visitor Visa when travelling from Finland by air or over sea with a carrier that is part of the program.

My question is, am I able to cross the border (drive) to USA now that I’m on a temporary resident (student) visa here in Canada? Do I need to fill Form I-94W and if I do, where can I get it?

Open Question: Help finding a flexible summer job for a 16 yr old?

Sep 30, 2008 @ 09:46 pm by

I’m going to have to work this summer, but the job needs to be something flexible since I’ll be an exchange student in Europe for the first 3 weeks of summer.

What type of job would pay well, hire a 16 year old, and be ok with the time-restraint?

Open Question: What are my chances of getting accepted at Middleburry as an international student?

Sep 30, 2008 @ 05:36 pm by

I’ve done 8 years of English at CCAA. And graduated on both intermediate and advanced classes.
Last year I was pretty much a slacker and got only 3 A’s out of 13 subjects, having an average of 70

This year, if everything turns out well, I’m getting 7 A’s, 3 B’s and 3 C’s
Next year I’m going to the US as an exchange student for a year, and I’m willing to work as hard as I can do get straight A’s and do some AP classes, if they’re available. While I’m there, I’m doing SAT Reasoning and the TOEFL.

I just started doing volunteer work at an elderly asylum and intend on doing over 120 hours.

I’ve being learning French on my own for almost 4 months, and, if I can get the money, I’m going to spend a month in Montreal in an language immersion program. This one is not certain.

I haven’t done much extracurriculars because my high school doesn’t offer them.

Thanks in advance.

Open Question: What does the word “also” mean in German?

Sep 30, 2008 @ 03:56 pm by

Ok, so I am an American exchange student living in Germany. I am here to learn the language, and know a bit of it so far. However, I really don’t seem to grasp the concept of “also”. I have obviously looked it up before, and the dictionary says that it means “as, so, thus”. However, it does not seem to signify this when people use it in conversation. I was just wondering if anyone could help clarify it for me, and put it into context. Thanks.
