Apr 30, 2009 @ 10:01 pm by

So i am going on a trip to France this summer and we have to make a photo album to share with our exchange students and their parents. Our french teacher told us to take pictures of random things to put in the album but im not sure what to take pictures of.
My school, friends, kinds of cars, grocery stores…???
Im not sure what the French would find different and unique and would want to see a picture of.
Just give me a bunch of ideas.
Thanks :)

I have a friend who was an exchange student at my school from the Netherlands, and she sent me a book about the Netherlands, stroopwaffels, gummies, and some easter egg chocolates. I sent her a thank you message on Facebook, but would it look weird to send a thank you card?

Open Question: What can’t he use for instead of to?

Apr 30, 2009 @ 10:36 am by

Okay, so I have this foreign exchange student, and I’m helping him out with his English homework, and so I don’t know how to explain to him how he can’t use “for” instead of “to” in this sentance. “I’m going to give a presnent to Jim.” That one is the correct one. The next One is the one he thought it should’ve been. “I’m going to give a present for Jim.” I know it’s bad gramar but I don’t know any rules or anything. Please help!!!
