Open Question: What is the legal age for a student to participate in foreign exchange?

May 31, 2009 @ 08:47 am by

I have a friend in the UK that wants to study in the USA for a bit and i was wondering if anyone could tell me the legal age for someone in the UK to do that. She lives in wales and makes top marks in all her classes and she is almost sixteen. I don’t know about other countries, but i have seen foreign exchange students 15-18 years of age in the schools i have attended. If anyone has any info please let me know.

Open Question: **BRAZILLIANS ONLY** How to impress a brazillian guy?

May 31, 2009 @ 02:42 am by

I met this exchange student from Brazil about a month ago, and since then we made out twice and spent the night together last night. The thing is that we have a bit of difficulty communicating since his English is bad, and our ways of society are so much different an I’m scared that I might have turned him off because of this. My question is how should I act, do, or say with a brazillian guy. I know that you all are really close and hug and kiss each other on the cheek when you meet and are extremely loving. How do I tell if he really likes me or he’s just using me?

Open Question: How to start a conversation with a guy?

May 30, 2009 @ 11:56 pm by

There’s this foreign exchange student from France that I like and he seems to be really shy. I want to befriend him but the problem is that he doesn’t really talk (although I already acknowledge the fact that he’s not exactly fluent in english). It’s really awkward when I try to talk to him because the “conversation” is only less than 10 words long and there’s this awkward silence after that.
How can I have a longer conversation with him and how can I relax when I talk to him?

Open Question: I have MS Office (2008 STUDENT -MAC) but have an upgraded Entourage account. Can someone help me?

May 30, 2009 @ 11:27 pm by

I am having problems with my MS Office.

I have an exchange server that lets me use MS Entourage, but when I installed it, it says “You cannot use this key with this product.” How do I make it so I can upgrade to my free MS exchange client software for MAC?

If this doesn’t make sense, please say so. I’ll fix it up a little for you.

Thanks!

Open Question: Does anybody know the title or the author of this short story?

May 30, 2009 @ 08:22 pm by

All I know is the main plot (the story lis written in 1st person, if that helps):

Kay, so a foreign exchange student from India comes to live with a christian family to finish 9th grade. His land lady and land lord mistreat him because of his race. They don’t let him play with their toy trains, they never include him on family outings, they don’t trust him in their house without supervision and when he tells them that the food they’re feeding him makes him sick, they call him “ungrateful”. One day, they leave off to another family outing, they lock the doors and won’t be back to about nine o’clock at night. The protagonist is locked out starving, he is tempted to eat carrots from the land lady’s garden, but doesn’t just yet. He falls asleep against the gate and walkes up even hungrier. That’s all I have, sorry, I don’t know the ending.

TAHNKS :)

I have a foreign exchange student who i became very close to over the course of this past school year. he will be returning to venezula in a few weeks and i want to get him a really cool going away present. Picture frames and stuff like that seem kinda unoriginal, but i still want it to be personallized
