Student Exchange Programs

I live in the United States and i’m interested in living in New York. Is there any possible way to live in the U.S. but be an exchange student with in your same country? I really want go to go to New York City, New York!

Also…. i want to also be a foreign exchange student so if i go to another country to i have to speak their language? (Like going to France and speaking French or can i go to France and speak English?)

Me and my family have an exchange student from Spain. She gave me and my family a present that was made in Spain and part of their sports and culture. EX: gave me a polo shirt (the sport) and my dad a glass that they use to hold money. My sister a necklace and my mom a fan. I need a good gift to give HER and her family to. I need a gift that is made or from the USA that may represent our country. This gift needs to be light for her to take on the plane ride back home and the gift shouldn’t cost toooooo much.

P.S. She has 1 younger brother-1 older brother- a mom and a dad.

i have a foreign exchange student living with me for the next month. she is from spain and would like to log on to msn to chat with her parents. when she attempts to log on through hotmail, it says her username or single-use code is incorrect. she is from spain and she is staying in canada. please answer quickly. i am open to all suggestions. thank you:)

there is this girl in my class(were actually 8 students in class and she’s the only girl)…the first day i saw her she was smiling when i looked at her as she was entering class.never mind this.yesterday,while i was waiting for the class to begin,i was waiting in our lounge,solving some math homework,when suddenly she appears and we make eye contact for about a second before sits on the couch which is just along the couch iam sitting on(perpendicular to it),although there were several empty ones.then came a friend which turned out that we both know,he exchanged few words with her,then he started talking to me.during my conversation with my friend,i noticed her looking at me and smiling,she was waiting for me to talk to her,which i didn’t…then later my other friend sat next to me and helped me with my homework,i just pretended she wasn’t there and was acting cool(i didn’t want to seem nervous near her),then she left for class and i followed her after a minute…………during the lecture,as the teacher asked for my name, i noticed turn and looked and me and smiling…
chances is she likes me or she is being friendly…but she is just kind of freakin me out….i checked her facebook,and unlike me,and she just happened to be in a big social cirlcle,she has a lot of guy friends out there…..why am i that important to her????

I am not your typical college student- I am in my mid twenties and last year was my first year. My financial aid was suspended due to GPA (cum. 1.7). I had a lot of struggles not only adjusting to school and being several years older than my classmates, but also I believe with depression stemming from medical problems (surgeries, constant stress and worry, etc). Even before I knew my financial aid was suspended, I had planned to go to my doctor and have my depression diagnosed and seek out counseling. I also had a plan to significantly improve academically in the upcoming semester with tutoring services, etc. I wasn’t someone who just slacked off and was partying- i had very real outside factors affecting my ability to perform academically, but I now have a plan to improve and not let those issues impact my school work.

Also, is this relevent- a few months ago I asked my financial aid person if I was in danger of losing my financial aid if my GPA didn’t get above 2.0 after Spring semester and she said NO- I would likely be put on a warning, but I would not lose my financial aid for Fall. I have this whole exchange in email. She obviously gave me very false information. Is it even worth bringing up in my appeal letter?

I wrote some last night in a spurt of creativity and I would be delighted to hear your opinions on my idea, even if you think it stinks. I’ll be appreciate of honesty.

On the planet Zonar, life form is green mold. The mold is bored because it cannot do things that humans do on Earth so the Zonarian mold dives off their planet and plop on Earth, attaching themselves to people and becoming makeshift humans because they have the human’s energy to help make them look human. Simply put, a teenage boy is on the beach and the mold attaches itself to him and becomes a beautiful young teenage girl who is holding his hand. He thinks she is lovely and she pretends she is a foreign exchange student in love with him. Of course, when he tries to let go of her hand and find she has attached herself to him forever, things get a little odd. His parents try to separate her from him and so do members of the community but she is reluctant to say she was originally mold and does not want to return to that form. So, everyone assumes she is just a shy girl who is very self-conscious and wants to hold his hand forever.

I am writing it in a comedic way maybe a little bit like Michael Moorcock.

ok this dude on facebook had requested me,he is from Turkey.I ask him how old are you and he told me and the year,so i did the math and the age he told me was wrong,so i ask me if you were born in the year that you told me,how can you be this age,he said o im sorry.He told me he is coming to my city (mobile,al) as an exchange student (exchange student program).He also told me he was going to work at a hotel in my city.one day he ask me for my number on facebook,and i said wats yours and he told me he cant get incoming calls from the U.S,or it cost to much (something like that).He never did call me,and he wrote me on fb talking about he will call me when he gets over here.today he suppose to come but he told me his flight been canceled he will come 5:30 in the morning.i ask him how do i know if this is really you,he said what you dont trust me? he showed me pics where he was in south c..he seem so mysterious..how do I know if he coming over here to kill me?terrorist attack?scam?
