Open Question: I wrote a poem and I want to know what you think?

Nov 30, 2010 @ 11:47 pm by

I dated a foreign exchange student for a while and now things are weird. We still talk but she’s the flirty type so she talks to other guys he same way. I don’t know if she has a special someone or not but I was feelIng down one day so I wrote this:

I think of you all the time
When I see you I become a mime
I don’t know what to say
It’s almost like a romantic play
I daydream of what we could be
But I know there will be no we
I look at the stars and I remember
Us making out back in November
We made it a whole week
Then our love began to leak
You said we need to stop
At that moment my heart drop
You didn’t want to get attached to me
I just want you to be happy
But I look at you now and I wonder
Was it true or was I just blunder
Seeing you with him makes me cringe
In my stomach it’s like a syringe
I want to ask you if it was true
But I figure you would go askew
I’m coming to the sense that you’re not worth it
Everyday you make me feel like shit
If you still want me speak up
Because I’m about to give up

What do you think?

Open Question: Are there any foreign exchange student programs that offer scholarships?

Nov 30, 2010 @ 11:38 pm by

I want to go to either Japan or China as a foreign exchange student, but my family is extremely poor, we get food stamps and stuff because we can’t afford food. I’m only thirteen, so I wouldn’t be able to go for at least two years, but I can’t get a job because I’m too young, and I’ve tried mowing people’s lawns and doing other jobs but no one will hire me, and my lemonade stand failed miserably. And if there is some kind of scholarship, what kind of stuff would I be able to take with me? My sister gave me a camera for my last birthday, and I want to know if I could take it. Also, I have a guitar, could I take that?

Open Question: How and where do I apply for jobs in America? ?

Nov 30, 2010 @ 08:47 pm by

I want to work in America (preferably New York) for a fashion magazine or costume design or something along those lines, but I don’t know where to look! Alot of the jobs are interns. What is that? Because im not studying atm so I can’t do a student exchange program. I want a paid job, even an assistant job, just to get some experience because I’m only young and want to explore!!

Open Question: Seoul National University; what is the difference between…?

Nov 30, 2010 @ 08:25 pm by

What is the difference between the Korean Language Course and Student Exchange Program?

Obviously the price and program lengths are different, but do you actually study Korean as a foreign exchange student? And if anyone has any experience, I would appreciate some information on what it’s like.

Thanks!

Open Question: Why is my grades dropping ?

Nov 30, 2010 @ 07:18 am by

I’ve always been an A students since middle school and through out highschool. I’ve never had any difficulties maintaining High, good grades. The lowest grade I’ve ever gotten was an 84%. The thing is that I’ve been away on a foreign exchange program for my entire Junior year in the USA and I’ve returned to my home country to attend my senior and final year.

However, because of the different teaching systems and perhaps the different languages I’ve been very surprised to see my grades drop ! I’ve flaunted some of my mid terms tests and been surprised by the results of others. I’ve also gotten low marks on my Physics Quizzes which was a surprise because I normally do well in Physics. Even my friends are surprised by the decrease in my grades. Although now I study harder and even take extra classes to review my lessons I still don’t get the results I used to get and I don’t Know why ?

This is making me feel stressed out and pressured and the final exams are closing up. Having a bad grade at the finals is not even an option as they are extremely important and my final results depends on them. Please any help on the matter would be much appreciated

Open Question: Is she just a really good friend or does she like me?

Nov 29, 2010 @ 11:56 pm by

I met this Chinese exchange student a few weeks ago and we’ve hung out four time since then: twice to lunch, once to dinner, once to drive-in movie. All of this was split bill, not dates. However, I’m having trouble deciding whether she likes me or whether she’s just a really good friend:

- Says she feels natural around me, that she normally doesn’t open up quickly to people, but I’m an exception
- We scheduled to go to the movies on Friday a couple weeks ago. A couple days later, her best friend told her she was scheduling her birthday party for that same day. Instead of her telling me “something came up”, she convinced her friend to change the party so she could honor her plans to go see a movie with a guy she’d only known for two weeks.
- Always returns calls, always texts back almost immediately if I send her a message. Randomly sent me a “Happy Thanksgiving!!” message on Thanksgiving, the only friend to do so (and I have several exchange student friends). I texted her on Saturday and received no reply for two days only to get a text this morning saying “sorry i didn’t find my phone until this morning XD” and said simply “:p” when I texted saying I’ve lost my phone before too and it’s always in a really obvious place.
- I broke touch barrier on our last two times out, her reaction was neutral. Not good, not bad, no real reaction at all really. Well, she still wants to see me, so that’s good I guess.
- All four times we’ve hung out, it’s always just the two of us. She has introduced me to a couple friends, but in a sort of “hi this is so-and-so, talk for one minute, now let’s go somewhere, bye so-and-so” way. She did try to call a friend to join us for our second lunch, but the friend apparently didn’t answer.
- She says she and her roommate normally do everything together, that a lot of people think they’re practically attached and her roommate will often tag along if one of them is invited somewhere (frustrating some guys, she said). However, for being so “attached” her roommate has never tagged along or anything with us.
- I don’t remember her wearing perfume when I first met her at the party, but every other time we’ve met she’s worn perfume. However, she did this even when we met for lunch after she hung out with her friends, so maybe she always wears perfume.

Does she like me or just a very good friend? Either way, I’m glad to have met her.
