I am seriously considering going on an exchange to Japan through AFS. However, I need to fund-raise $5000 and probably a little bit of the $8000 participation fee.
If anyone has ever gone on exchange through AFS, is all this work worth the exchange? Or should I look somewhere else?

so there is this guy that added me on facebook and i really didnt pay attention to his profile once i added him, but later i saw a picture of him and I thought he was really really good looking, so we started to like each others photos, he commented on my statuses, he is nice and everything, he is 17 and I am 15, now we talk constantly on facebook chat and he is really really cool, we have similar music tastes, we talk about politics and almost about anything, he is such a nice boy, i said to him he was very handsome and he said the same about me, he does seem to like me a little bit. we talk a lot, and he sends me inbox messages that he is thinking about me, he is so so sweet, he call me honey, and angel, and says im the most gorgeous girl, and I really think he is the most beautiful person i’ve met ever, we talk long hours about anything, music, politics(he is studying that). the problem is that he lives very very far away from me, like I live in america and he lives in europe. i know you would probabbly say this isnt true love because its not physical, but he puts always a smile on me, and my heart do beats faster when he talks to me and im planning to go to europe in an student exchange so i could be with him, what do you think?
My best friend is hosting a foreign exchange student from France, and she’s coming to Oklahoma, USA! Well, my friend and I were talking about how we should show her our culture… or what we have, as Americans, as culture. I was wondering what are some ideas that we could show her or something. And its in February, if that helps.
Are student exchange programs available to college age students? I am 21,and would like to go to school in Germany,but am not sure if I am too old for that. I would like a list of all possible options for me to stay in germany for an extended time period.
ok i am talking to my friend who is french she was my exchange student last year….she asked what i did on the weekend and i am not sure how to writte this so can someone translate the paragraph probly for me………….Today I went shopping with my dad at walmart and michaels. Me and him made a scrap book for my grandfather of memories of 2010. And on sunday i did homework and did more shopping with my dad. and my mom went out for dinner with her friends and didnt get home tell like 10 oclock .and went to be around 11 after watching dirty money .

Hi. I have an internet girlfriend and I have known her for a year. We’ve been a couple for a while now. I really love her and please dont start saying that its impossible because I do. We’re both in college but we cant see each other until a year and a half in a student exchange, and then after that we have to wait two more years to truly be together. I love her and she makes me happy. But the thing is that when I dont talk to her for a day I feel like I cant go on. I constantly need her and I feel a bit down sometimes. I know its the distance, but I’m not giving up just yet, we’re both determined to go through whatever it takes. Please help? :/
So i’ve got a few questions about this one… First let me tell you what’s happening though.
We tend to get ALOT of German exchange student… well exchange students in general. Anyways, there is this new german exchange student girl who is physically disabled. (I’d just like to say something about that as well…he way people look down on her and act like she is mentally not all there is RIDICULOUS! I’m thoroughly disappointed in my school.) So on with the story… I just get into this french 11 class (i’m grade 10) pretty freaked and there’s a dog….Uh yeah. A dog. In the class. Uhm what? I understand that blind people need dogs and some peoples wheel chairs need pulling but the dog has no pulling harness and she can use her upper body fine. I’m extremely confused as to why she needs this dog. Secondly. IT’S DISTRACTING. I get that she needs it. And by all means use it but… i get distracted. There’s this cute little black lab shifting its eyebrows in front of me and all i can do is stare at the cute ness. What if someone was allergic to dogs? Then though all of a sudden the dog barks. it has two barking sessions during class. One was when someone walked into the class and another was when the substitute came over to help the girl with a french problem.
So i guess my questions are:
Why does she need this dog?
Why is it barking if it’s supposedly ‘trained’?
And… I have no idea.
Has anyone else been in this particular situation?
How did you deal with it?
How would you deal with it if you were in this position?
Oh. and i know it’s some sort of service dog.
