Hi! I have to write The Raven in common words - or in new language. But I am from Germany and just an exchange student and therefore I dont really know what The Raven is about. I just have to do the first and the 4th one. I’d be thankful if somebody could help me, or give me a hint. Thank you!
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`’Tis some visitor,’ I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.’
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
`Sir,’ said I, `or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you’ - here I opened wide the door; -
Darkness there, and nothing more

I want to go to either France or Italy for my junior year of high school, but there are so many exchange programs to choose from!!!! What do you think is the best one? Price isn’t the most important aspect, but if it’s cheaper, that would be amazing

I don’t care which one is cooler or easier to learn. I love both. Just deciding which one I should go with. I’m gonna try to learn about the culture and try to be an exchange student to one of the countries in high school. Which one do you think? If you know where I could learn the language for free online that would be good too ^_^

Hello
I am an Erasmus Exchange Student for a full year in an UK university. However I am not a European citizen. Therefore I needed a T4 VISA to get to UK.
Before june 2011 the students did not have to proof their English level in order to get the T4 VISA. After this date it becomes obligatory.
Unfortunatly I didn’t manage to prepare and pass an english test and the international office of the university in the UK told me that it is not a problem and that I can ask for a student visitor visa, come to UK, pass the TOEFL, go back to my country and ask for a T4 visa.
So I came to UK for the first semester. Unfortunately I missed the TOEFL test by one point in the speaking section (22/30 instead of 23/30) but I got a total score of 91/120. Nowadays my student visitor visa is about to expire in few weeks.
For my home University, I am registered as a full year student. therefore they will not accept one semester only and I will fail this year.
I don’t know what to do. Should I stay in UK for 2 months after my visa expires in order to pass the exams of second semester or should I leave UK before and fail this year?
I really don’t have money issues. I just want to pass my exams and go back to the European country where I am studying (my degree is with my home university).
Could you please help me?

I am an engineering student who is currently looking for a student exchange in Puerto Rico. I am very interested with UPR at Mayaguez but I am not sure if there are any english courses or it is only english.
If you know someone who studied there who could answer my question, I would be very grateful !
PS I study in civil engineering.
Thanks !
Correction: “if there are any english courses or it is only *SPANISH* “. Sorry !

I’m currently a foreign exchange student in France, and next weekend i’m going to belgium. It will be my last week in Europe since the semester is over. In belgium I am of age to get a piercing, and I’d really like to take advantage of that. For the longest time i’ve wanted a lip piercing, but i’m not sure if i could pull it off, that or a monroe. I’m open to other facial piercing ideas, but i’ve just been thinking about it, and i’d really like one, something different.
