Id like to know if the is a common saying in the english language wich advices you not to explain yourself to others, because if you do so, it shows that you’re not self-conscious, which makes you weak. Some years ago my student-exchange partner said something like that once.. and I am not sure anymore what the proper words have been.
So.. is there a saying that sounds similar to that one in the title above??
Thanks a lot

Okay so my Little sister[14 years old] is turning 15 on September 28 and she wants to go on a foreign exchange program to Japan.
Every site says you have to be 15 to 18 years.
The real question is, if she’s turning 15 in just a couple months and exchange programs take a while to send you an I-20 form and give information about a host family plus it will take a bit to get a student visa and sign papers , would it be okay if the flight date for her exchange program is set after her birthday?

Im an Australian high school student aged 15 years and in grade 10, with 2.5 years of school left. I want to apply to a university in Canada for my entire bachelor of science degree studies. I want to know what time of the year in 2014 should i apply (im in year 12 in 2014) for september(fall) 2015? My grades are Mathematics Extension(A) English(A) Physics(B) Chemistry(A) Technology studies(B) Buisiness studies(A) would these grades be good enough to get me into a university like York, Ryerson, UBC, UofT missisauga if i scored an SAT around 1600-2200? How much do these uni’s charge international students per year for a bachelors of science? How do i apply? Also would it be easier for me to get into a Canadian university if i transfered in August when im in year 12 in Australia and start year 12 in Canada through a student exchange program and graduate there? Sorry for my annoying questions and thanks for answering!

I met this exchange student last semester and I fell in love with him, he was so cute with me and he gave signs of liking me too, but he didn’t make a move because he was staying here only for that semester. After returning to his country, he told me that he would really like to live here permanently but that it would be difficult to get a job. We keep talking and everything and now, this summer Im going to his country for a month so I want to make something, at least kiss him, and let him know that I really want him and that I want to be with him. I only have a month to make a move so what can I do? Also he is 5 years older than me, and I think that also makes him think it twice before trying something, but Im sure I want to be with him. What do I do this summer?

Hello everyone!
I’m a Mexican student, and I’m going on an exchange semester. I’m analyzing the option of going to Stockholm. Can someone please help me find out the monthly expenses? Rent, meals, transport and of course some partying! And could you also share some information about Stockholm School of Economics? Is it far from city centre? Is it a good university?
Thanks a lot in Advance!

Hello everyone!
I’m a student from Mexico, and I’m going on an exchange for a semester. I’m analyzing the option of going to the Netherlands. More specifically, Rotterdam or Amsterdam. Can someone help me find out the monthly expenses in both cities? Rent, transport, meals and of course some party expenses! I’m not very keen on using university boarding, as I feel it is more expensive, but if it is not, please tell me! On the other hand, can you tell me something about Rotterdam School of Management or the University of Amsterdam? Are these good schools? how far from city centre?
Thanks a lot in advance!

I’m 14 years old & in the 8th grade & I don’t have any exact plans on this yet but I want to be a foriegn exchange student for my sophmore year when I’m 16 & I really want to do this but at the same time I kind of don’t? Like even spending the night at a friend’s house is kinda weird for me because I feel weird not sleeping in my own bed. I would also be really nervous if the family I would live with is really mean or something. I would only go for a semester which is 6 months. Advice please????
