Student Exchange Programs

So I can speak german, and a little bavarian, and there is a german exchange student that I find attractive. She looks like my type, indy. My question is, would It be werid to be like “Hey are you from germany? I just got back from there visiting some friends. Do you wanna go to lunch today and I will show you a good place to eat here”.
