Student Exchange Programs

I have always heard of exchange programs in which students would travel to other countries to experience and learn another language. I was wondering if there is a program for students (such as I) who want to become more proficient in sign language. I do well in it, but that is under a college setting and some events that I have included myself in. I really think that I would benefit more so if I were able to live with a household like an exchange student would.
