Student Exchange Programs

there is this girl in my class(were actually 8 students in class and she’s the only girl)…the first day i saw her she was smiling when i looked at her as she was entering class.never mind this.yesterday,while i was waiting for the class to begin,i was waiting in our lounge,solving some math homework,when suddenly she appears and we make eye contact for about a second before sits on the couch which is just along the couch iam sitting on(perpendicular to it),although there were several empty ones.then came a friend which turned out that we both know,he exchanged few words with her,then he started talking to me.during my conversation with my friend,i noticed her looking at me and smiling,she was waiting for me to talk to her,which i didn’t…then later my other friend sat next to me and helped me with my homework,i just pretended she wasn’t there and was acting cool(i didn’t want to seem nervous near her),then she left for class and i followed her after a minute…………during the lecture,as the teacher asked for my name, i noticed turn and looked and me and smiling…
chances is she likes me or she is being friendly…but she is just kind of freakin me out….i checked her facebook,and unlike me,and she just happened to be in a big social cirlcle,she has a lot of guy friends out there…..why am i that important to her????
