Resolved Question: Empty nest is not going well. I’m crying all the time.?

Because of eyesight I don’t have a drivers liscense, so can’t work. We live in the country, house is paid for, so can’t move to town to walk to work.
My youngest just left, I’m crying when I open the refrig and see the green olves she liked to snitch. I’m crying when I have to go in her room for something.
My marriage is good, my husband has to be gone a lot for his job. I dont know what to do with my time.
I thought about humane society, but I’m not sure I can stand the sadness of all the unwanted pets, I’m so sad already.
When I offer advice I say, help someone worse off then you, and count your blessings. But easier to say then do.
It feels as though there’s no reason to keep living. I was good at parenting. Now no one wants me.
I can’t have foster child or exchange student as hubby has been waiting all our married life for me to be able to travel with him. I can’t foster animals for that reason also.
I don’t know what to do.
Thank you all for your answers. I appreciate it. It helped just to say it out loud. So to speak.
No easy solutions, empty nest has been going around for awhile.
Becuase I can’t work outside the home it makes it a little tougher. Parenting I was good at. That’s done. I will have to find something else i’m good at I guess.
Again, thanks. all.
